I was stumbling tonight and found this chat transcript that made me laugh so hard I had to get up and explain to my non-technical girlfriend what I was laughing at. This is seriously the worst one I’ve come across to date. Please, if you know of any more that are funny like this, post a comment here, I’d LOVE to read them.

Writing your Rep

This is an email I wrote to my congressman tonight about a new law they are trying to pass, if you agree with me, or just want to put in your own thoughts, I recommend you go to this site and look up your congressman. It’s easy, and mine has a web form like I was sending comments to an online store.

Sir,

I won’t take much of your time, but I wanted to place my vote in your ear when the vote on “Blair Holt’s Firearm Licensing and Record of Sale Act of 2009″ comes around. I am a Sergeant in the United States Army Reserve and have a Concealed Carry Permit. I enjoy being able to protect the people I love, both in and out of uniform.

Please do not allow Mr Rush’s bill to hinder or restrict law abiding citizens from protecting their friends and family from threats, both Domestic and Foreign. This bill will either disarm law abiding citizens or turn those very same citizens into criminals. Further restricting handgun ownership will not remove guns from the hands of criminals that aren’t allowed to possess them in the first place; only disarm the civilians that need them to protect themselves from the criminals.

In the Weeds

I’ve been in the weeds the past week and a half at work. People are throwing things into my stack of things to do faster than I can complete anything. As everyone thinks their job is most important around here, no one understands why their project isn’t ready yet!

Today, I came into work, turned on Pandora in my iTouch (they have an app now), closed my office door, put my phone on DND and started in. I told Kim, the Office Manager, that I wasn’t “here” until noon. I’m going to get something done this morning if it kills me, or everyone else, which ever comes first.

I just completed the BETA version of the Leads Database the Sales team asked me for, and I’m about to start on the Job time tracking sheets the Service Department asked for. If I can complete that by lunch time, I’ll be happy… and so far, everyone has respected the sticky note on my door telling them to go away!

Alrighty, back to the Excel Formulas.
