Movin Day

Posted by CrazySane on March 28th, 2008 filed in Stories from the Sand

Here real soon (within a week), they are making us move out of our CHUs. They are sending most of my company over to a large one room building on the other side of post, but I have opted to actually move up to the CP, instead. If I lived on the other side of post, I’d have to get up at 3:30 in the morning to go to work. Yuck! A few other select individuals are moving to the CP also, mainly the people with their own offices.

My point of this post, is while I will continue to have internet at the office, I will lose my internet when I move into the CP. (they don’t have internet in the building on the other side of the post either.)

I won’t get into how unfair it is that they are making us move out, so the replacing unit can move right in when they get here, because the unit we replaced lived in their CHUs until the day they left… and we were stuck in a long ass C-Hut building near by (which are full, so we can’t stay there.)

Anyhow, the bright side is, this is one step (all-be-it sooner than I’d hoped) closer to getting on the big steel bird and popping smoke out of this damned country.

I know it probably doesn’t look like it at this moment but it is one step closer to getting back home to family and friends. Look at it this way, compared to the major inconvenience of there this will be just a “little” inconvenience on the way out. Everyone is looking forward to you getting back here so try and take in stride and look at as a positive thing that you are really going and they aren’t looking for a way to keep you there longer…that “silver lining thing.” Be safe and we will see you soon.
