Where did the Road Go?

It’s amazing. I remember, Just a few months ago, having a job that I loved, appreciated, and believed that my coworkers loved too. Nowadays I’m not so sure. Some of my coworkers are more verbal about their displeasure than others, but you can tell it’s there. Their are major changes on the horizon for this company, for better or worse. The management is either going to smarten up and treat their critical employees better, or we’re all going to leave management holding the check.

The truth is, the company, the way it runs now, can’t run without the work that some of us perform everyday without complaint. When one of us is off, even just one day, the company’s performance is hindered (never mind when two of us are off!) It’s not long until one of us makes the decision to go elsewhere, and I predict the first to go will insight a landslide of the rest of us, crippling this company.

It’s dangerous waters, and I’m in no position to stay the execution. (In fact, I’m one of the “critical employees” I speak of.) Only time will tell the fate of the company.
